Feedback

We think that it is very important to have good relationships with the parents and guardians of the children attending our playgroup.  As a parent or guardian, if you would like to speak to us about your child then we welcome this at the beginning or end of the session.  We will always try to update you on how your child has participated in the session each and what they have enjoyed.

Development Books

We create, update and review a personal development book for each child and encourage parents to read it and add to the book where possible.  The book maps out key developmental milestones for each child and tracks the child’s progress and achievements at playschool based on observations recorded by their playschool key worker.  We encourage children to record their own ‘wow’ moments at home and bring them in to playschool to add to their book as well as photos or artwork etc.

Stay and Play

We welcome parents and guardians to stay and play with us at Playschool. We have a half term calendar on the wall that you can put your name on. You can stay for an hour or stay all morning, it’s entirely up to you and what works best for your child. Younger siblings are welcome too!

We find that parents and guardians often have as much fun as the children and you can join in with painting, maybe reading a story to the children, tidying up or helping at snack time. The children think that it is great having mummy or daddy playing with them at Playschool and it gives you an opportunity to see what they are learning and also a chance to look through their file.
